Abstract

The article deals with the problem of scientific theory of enterprises’ crisis management transformation in the digital economy paradigm. The relevance of the study lies in the fact that the digital revolution is changing the institutional structure of the economy, creating uncertainty and crisis factors for business development. The study found that the digital transformation of crisis management is the most important area of adaptation to modern dynamic changes in the external and internal environment. In such conditions, the role of crisis management theory is significantly increasing, but its tools, formed at the beginning of the digital technological revolution, do not allow to effectively overcome the crisis consequences. The study proves that crisis management has undergone a significant transformation to address specific problems in the national economy. The authors consider the peculiarities of anti-crisis management, which depend on the action of exogenous and endogenous factors, the depth of the crisis and the financial and economic development of enterprises. The article formulates the key directions of transformation of crisis management of enterprises under the influence of digitalization and global economic crises. The paper substantiates the provisions of the theory of technological revolutions, disruptive innovations, new institutional economic theory and the scientific concept of research programs. The authors analyze the current state of development of the scientific theory of crisis management, the relationship of this theory with the theory of innovation, including the influence of institutional factors. Based on the analysis of the impact of these factors on the theory of crisis management, the study proves the formulated hypothesis regarding the impact of institutional changes of a technological and economic nature on the transformation of the “protective shell” of this theory, and identifies the directions of its transformation. The results of the study contribute to the development of the scientific theory of crisis management of enterprises and tools for crisis adaptation to new technological conditions in the digital economy, and also create a scientific basis for further research.
